Meet Dave & Kathy
The Basics
The couple decided they wanted to move out of the suburbs and onto acreage property so that they could enjoy their astronomy hobby without light pollution from the city lights. They are also heavily involved in model train railroads, gardening and have a beast of a cat named Trouble.
How they found us:
Dave arrived at an open house I was doing for another property. That house was clearly not a good fit for him but we chatted about what he was looking for and I started working with them shortly afterward.
Before the sale
They were distrustful of Realtors because they believe in full representation and wanted an advocate. They had lived in their prior home for several years and were interested in moving only if they could find the right fit for their next home. They outlined 23 (!) requirements for me on what they needed in a house in order for them to consider moving. After giving me their requirements, they went on a 2-week vacation and they told me that they believed it would be a long process of home searching once they returned because they recognized their list was extensive.
During the process
Upon their return from vacation, we met to go tour homes. I had combed through the inventory and selected 3 houses for us to see that day. Each of them met the majority of their requirements and we all anticipated it would be only a day of discovery. They were very surprised when we pulled up to the final house as it was a near perfect fit for what they wanted! It met 21 of their 23 requirements and they were thrilled! We wrote an offer that day and got their dream house!
